Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Maurice left us peacefully on New Year’s Eve with all of us around him; Dorothy his wife of six months shy of 60 years, Heather from Quebec, Peter from Houston and Michael our local son, with six precious grandchildren between them. Ross, Heidi, Scott, Alex, Shannon, and Weston. Maurice has had a wonderfully successful, adventurous life; a brilliant environmental engineer who made a major impact on waste water treatment, especially in the Pulp and Paper industry around the world, practical solutions to building (30 years with Eastern sections of the ACC building cabins etc.), remodelling, rebuilding, repairing, fixing practically anything for family and friends, beautifully productive in his wood workshop. And always time for exploring and leading adventures; dark caves, high mountains, rivers, lakes, canyons, Arctic to Antarctic. Climbing, skiing, sailing, paddling.

Darling Maurice, you will be deeply missed but we will forever rejoice in having had you in our lives.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eden Brook Funeral Home, (West end of 17th Avenue at Lower Springbank Road, Calgary) at 1:00 pm on Friday 8th January 2016. Any anecdotes or memories will be very welcome to be shared at the celebration, for you to present or to be added to the family’s presentation. Tales of his adventurous, generous spirit and his joy for life will be shared by all. In lieu of flowers, a bench will be placed in Maurice’s honour for the weary hiker to take a rest and enjoy the view.

***Donations towards a bench placed in Maurice's honour, may be made by cheque to Dorothy Tyler (with note: BENCH TRUST FUND) or by e-transfer or at Bank of Montreal, Account #26349 0018947-786.
