Sanaa B. Allen
November 2, 1957 - November 5, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Sanaa passed away peacefully at the Rosedale Hospice in Calgary at the age of 59. She is survived by her husband Nick, their son Alex, her mother Nazli Basilious, her sisters Shadia Drury and Wafaa Babcock (Brian) as well as her many friends and extended family in Canada and Egypt. Sanaa was very active all her life and except for the last four months of her life, she played tennis several times a week even during the time of her radiation treatments and her chemotherapy. Many of her friends have visited her regularly during this difficult period. She was a teacher then a real estate agent whose students and clients became devoted friends due to her sincere, warm and fun loving personality. Our family would like to extend our most heartfelt thank you to the staff at Rosedale Hospice, not only for the care and compassion shown to Sanaa, but to the welcome they provided our family. A Celebration of Sanaa's life will be held in the Chapel of Eden Brook Funeral Home on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (www.albertacancer.ca).
