<div itemprop="description"><br>STEPHENSON, Robert Leslie November 25, 1938 – June 16, 2016. Robert, beloved husband of Katie, passed away on June 16, 2016. Robert was born to Lorne and Hannah Stephenson on November 25, 1938 in Galt, Ontario. He is survived by his wife Katie, son Kevin, daughter Heather (Grant), grandchildren Meghan and Evan, brothers Jim (Doris), Donald (Linda) and Roy and many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his son Shawn in 2012. Robert joined the military at age 19 and was stationed in Germany where he met and married Katie on May 5, 1962. Kevin was born in Germany after which they left the service to start a farm near Katie's parents in Wilkie, Saskatchewan where Shawn and Heather were born. They left Saskatchewan and moved to Edmonton and then onto Jasper where they stayed for 9 years. Robert and Katie lived in many places throughout their 54 years of marriage including Dryden ON, Victoria, B.C., Edmonton and Calgary to name a few, and Robert tried his hand at many different professions including property management, entrepreneur, Commissionaire and trailer hauling before retiring in 2012. Robert was very proud of his family and loved them very much, he will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held in Calgary on June 24, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Lions Village Apartments at 2528 Bowness Road N.W. and a Memorial Service will be held at the Beachwood Cemetery in Ottawa on July 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. <br> <br> <br> <br> <br></div>
