Reginald Fowler
August 16, 1932 - February 28, 2016
FOWLER, Reg
1932 - 2016
It is with sad hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Reg at the age of 83 years. He lived a long rewarding life and had many stories to tell. He will be fondly remembered by his daughter Lesley, son-in-law Bob, and beloved grandsons Brandon and Alex. Reg was born in Sutton, England. He finished school with an Engineering Degree through Westminster College in London. His 50 year career took him to North and Central America, UK, Europe and the Middle East. In the early part of his career he met his lovely wife Jean, whom he married in 1956, their daughter Lesley was born seven years later. In August 1974 the family moved to Montreal which was then followed by another move to Calgary in 1979. While his dedication was the oil and gas industry, he continued to pursue his family passion. Over the years he designed, built and lived in, several homes around Calgary. Reg was predeceased by Jean in 2010, and brother’s Geoff and Dave in the UK. Reg will be sadly missed by many extended family members as well as friends residing in the UK. The family would like to thank the staff at Amica for his care and support over the past 2 1/2 years and most recently Garrison Green Seniors Community. Reg will be sadly missed by many - he was a true definition of a gentleman. If so desired, memorial donations may be made in Reg’s name directly to the Alzheimer's Society of Calgary (http://www.alzheimercalgary.ca). We would like to invite family and friends to a Celebration of Reg's Life at Eden Brook Funeral Home, 17th Avenue & Lower Springbank Road S.W. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. with tributes beginning at 2:30 p.m.
