<div itemprop="description">ESAU, Peter<br />March 6, 1929 &ndash; January 6, 2016<br /><br />Peter &ldquo;Pete&rdquo; Esau, of Airdrie, AB passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the age of 86. Peter is survived by his wife, Marie of 59 years; son, Len (Louise) Esau, Scott (Jo) Esau, Shane (Kerri) Esau; brothers: Ed (Leona) Esau, Walt (Maggie) Esau, Ron (Ruth) Esau; sister, Nettie (Walt) Thiessen; grandchildren: Danny, Matt (Kim), Joel (Karen), Vanessa, Jocelyn (Brady), Luke, and Brady; great grandchild, Hudson and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. Peter was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jake and sister, Hilda. Peter was born to parents, John and Agatha Esau on March 6, 1929 in Rajevka, Siberia. He grew up as the eldest of seven in Gem, Alberta. In 1956, Peter married Marie Munro from Bassano, AB and they built a long and happy life together in Alberta. Peter started his career as a heavy equipment operator with Standard General and eventually retired from the City of Calgary after many years of dedicated service. Peter loved fishing and camping and spent many weekends camping and boating with his family. Peter was a proud member of the Westwind Flyers Fishing Club and continued to enjoy the friendships of his fellow club members until the time of his passing. A time of gathering will be held later in the year. A special thank you to the Foothills Hospital, Unit 61 in Calgary for their loving care and support.<br /></div>
