LeMesurier, Pat (Margaret Patience)
May 9, 1925 Halifax, Nova Scotia – March 9, 2016 Calgary, Alberta
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we say goodbye to our very beloved Pat. Pat was one of a kind, always quick with a smile or a kind gesture for friends and strangers alike. She showed us all how to be strong, elegant and keep a positive outlook that continued right to the end. Pat’s talents were many but none more beautiful than the abundance of items she knitted for family and friends. She was also the queen of organizing things whether it was a charity event, her quilting group or just a sock drawer, nothing gave her more pleasure than to have things in order. Pat will be missed dearly, but we celebrate her 91 years well lived. Wife and best friend of Garnet (d. September 2002.) Adored mother of Stephen LeMesurier (Janet), Joan Cardy, and her loyal companion Patti LeMesurier. Memories of Grandma will always be cherished by her five grandchildren: Reid, Drew, and Caitlin LeMesurier; Chris and Jamie Cardy. Loving sister of d. William Randell and d. Peggy Reid. Pat, a fiercely loyal and stalwart friend, will be remembered by many in Calgary. We will be forever grateful to all the 6th floor staff at Seton Agecare for their extraordinary care and compassion. At Pat’s wishes there will be a private memorial service to be held in the spring, a time of year that she loved, bringing with it all the possibilities and hopes for brighter days ahead. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer Society of Canada, 20 Eglinton Ave W #1600, Toronto, ON M4R 1K8 or http://www.alzheimer.ca/en.
