<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we must share the news on the passing of our beloved Neil Peterson. Neil passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2016, in Calgary, Alberta. Survived by his loving wife, Susie; his boys Kristjan (Jessie) and Andrew; his stepchildren Talia and Joshua; his parents Bryan and Marilyn; his brother Wayne (Nick) in Toronto; and a multitude of extended family. <br /><br />Neil touched many lives. He was so full of love and jest and was always there for family and friends offering unconditional help and guidance to anyone who may have needed it. By far, his kindness, generosity, and his undying love for Susie and his boys is what he will be remembered for most. <br /><br />Neil was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 13, 1961. He resided in East Kildonan and attended River East Collegiate. The family moved to Calgary in July of 1979 where Neil completed grade 12 at the Henry Wisewood Senior High School. <br />Neil attended the University of Calgary. He was involved with DeMolay, and volunteered at Race City , Fort Calgary, and the Calgary Drop In Centre.<br />Neil spent his professional life working at the Rocky View Hospital where he was widely respected. Many thanks to the staff at both the Rocky View and Foothills Hospitals.<br />A Celebration of Neil&rsquo;s life for family and friends, will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm, with a service at 2:00 pm at the Stampede Grounds, Ranahans Club.<br />Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Calgary Drop In Centre, http://www.thedi.ca or Fort Calgary, http://www.fortcalgary.com.<br /> <br />&quot;Rest in peace my darling.
