Mid will forever be remembered for his ability to talk to anyone, his contagious laugh, his distinctive voice & an infectious spirit to love life. Mid was a proud born & raised Calgarian. Mid joined SunLife on May 17th, 1954, following in his father Gordon’s footsteps. Mid had a 60 year career as an insurance salesmen & manager for many of those years. His outstanding success was due to his integrity, loyalty & honesty with all that worked & dealt with him. A loving son, brother, devoted husband, dad, poppa, great-poppa, uncle & friend to all. Mid is survived by his wife of 40 years Patricia, daughters & sons, Laurie Evans (Gerry Gervais) of Nanaimo, Steven (Wendy) of Salmon Arm, Allan (Janice) of Nanaimo, Nancy (Ron) of Sorrento, Carolyn (Chris) Grabill of Calgary & daughter-in-Law Cheryl of Sherwood Park & Pat’s daughter Tracy (Mark) Higgins of Nanaimo, sister Mona (Ron) Johnson, sister-in-law Pauline both of Calgary, his step-mother Frances (nee Kozak) of Summerland, 14 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren & many nieces, nephews & cousins. Mid has countless interests, such as traveling extensively with his wife & family, any card game, gardening, the mountains & cabin, swimming (best diver) & any sports game. A Flames & Stampeders fan at heart, the most versatile handyman & was a mathematician better than a calculator. Mid was loved by so many & will be remembered by all who met him. His opinions were big, but his heart was bigger. He truly lived…he had it all, he did it all & he loved it all. Mid’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nursing & care staff & the palliative care team of Unit 93 at the Rockyview Hospital.
