It is with the deepest of sorrow that the Manitowich family announces the death of our beloved Mary Anne, who passed away at the Southwood Hospice in Calgary at the age of 67 years, after a struggle with cancer which she faced with great dignity and determination.

Mary Anne is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ronald; daughter Dana (Gary); son Ryan (Heather) and their children, her dearest grandchildren: Matthew, Emily and Andrew; her brother John; sisters Susan (Richard) and Janet (George); as well as numerous nieces and nephews all of which with she shared a close and loving relationship.

Mary Anne began working in the oil & gas industry in Calgary with Gulf Canada while completing her CAPPA courses and discovered she had a real passion for the challenges of production accounting.
Mary Anne was a lively and spirited person for whom family was the most cherished possession. Protecting and nurturing her family was most important. She engaged all those around her, family, friends and acquaintances with her dry sense of humour, making people smile and always ready to be the proverbial life of the party.

A private family ceremony honoring Mary Anne’s life will be held at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 17 Avenue SW and Lower Springbank Road, Calgary on Friday, February 5, 2016 to be followed by a Celebration of Life for family and friends at 3:30 p.m.

A very special thanks to the staff at Southwood Hospice for their tender care of Mary Anne in her last days. In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations be made to www.theskypainters.com in loving memory of Mary Anne.
