Magnus (Bryan) Peterson
April 26, 1935 - March 8, 2017
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Bryan Peterson in his 82 year, on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 after a brief illness. Bryan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn, and his son Wayne (Nick) in Toronto. Bryan leaves behind two grandsons Kristjan (Jessie), and Andrew. Bryan's son Neil (Susie) passed away suddenly on February 24, 2016 in Calgary. Also surviving are Bryan's dear sister, Jeanette Hardy of Winnipeg and numerous nephews and nieces. Born in Winnipeg on April 26, 1935. He attended Lord Selkirk High School. He spent his summers at Lake Winnipeg with family and great friends. Bryan was a community man, active with the local YMCA, and the River East School Board, as a school trustee and served as chairman.
Bryan worked for the family construction business, "JM Peterson and Sons" in Winnipeg. He then moved to architectural firms as a specification writer. In 1979 Bryan and his family moved to Calgary. Bryan had a rewarding career in Hospital construction management, with the Rockyview and Holy Cross hospitals. Semi retired Bryan then worked with the Calgary Catholic School Board on construction management projects.
Bryan adored his family and friends, holding relationships over 75 years. He will be missed by all. A celebration of Bryan's life has taken place. If so desired, memorial donations in Bryan's name can be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca). Family would like to recognize the services of Rockyview Hospital and the Dulcina Hospice.
Goodbye my dear husband, father, grandfather, uncle and great friend. You will be missed by many.
