HAYWARD, Lynn Joan
November 29, 1956 – April 03, 2015

Lynn Hayward, beloved wife of 25 years to Brian Hayward of Calgary, AB, passed away suddenly on April 03, 2015 at age 58 years. She was the loving mother to Brenda (Luke), Shannon (Mike) and Ryan (Kaylie). She was very proud of being Nana to her grandchildren, Mia, Evie, Max and Rumi and to being Godmother to Makayla and Shawna. Lynn will be remembered as a hard worker as an Admin Assistant at Poco Petroleums and SNC Lavalin. Later she provided those same services to her husband’s consulting company, Drac Holdings. Lynn had many friends, past coworkers, bridge acquaintances and many relationships cultivated while working various functions through her church activities. In these later years nothing gave her more pleasure than babysitting and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved to go and watch their various activities including sports, music and dance. She also loved to host various pool parties in the summer months. This involved being around the backyard pool with many, many friends and lots of children. Lynn loved children and was proud to be an alternate Mom and Nana to so many. Lynn loved to travel with her husband and most recently had just returned from Bora Bora, celebrating their 25th anniversary in the same place as their honeymoon. While there, they renewed their vows “Tahitian” style. Lynn loved to play cards and developed a passion for Bridge, organizing a weekly afternoon Bridge game with a group of like-minded and fun people. Lynn was also very proud of her religious faith and spent many hours going to and supporting the church in various functions. Her passing will leave a big hole in the lives of her husband and children, especially because her passing came as such a total shock to all. We will certainly miss her laughs and hugs including her occasional scolding. Lynn (Mom) (Nana) will live on in our hearts and prayers and in the hearts of the many friends, whose lives she also touched. Prayers will be held at Eden Brook Funeral Home (17th Avenue and Lower Springbank Rd SW, Calgary) On Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation (100, 119 - 14 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta T2N 1Z6)
