Louise Donchi
DONCHI, Louise Elizabeth
It is with the greatest sadness that the family of Louise Donchi announce her
peaceful passing at her home on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 after a
courageous six year battle with cancer.
Louise will be forever held close in the hearts of her children; Brent Donchi
(Wendi Donchi) and Tania White (Doug MacGregor), and will be deeply missed
by her beloved companion, Wayne Herrell. She will also be lovingly remembered
by her sister, Gloria Lucas (Cliff); her brother Boris Pasichny (Judy); her sister-in-law Marie Grimmond, and their families. As well as lifelong and recent friends, neighbours, and extended family around the world. Louise was predeceased by her loving husband, Vincent Donchi, in 1996.
Louise was a talented and creative artist, with a curiosity to always try something
new- everything from painting and sculpture, to apple-people and pet carriers. She had a sense of adventure and fun, and often was the life of the party. Her
fondness for animals, chocolate, and her “soapie” was well known to all who
knew her. Above all, she adored her family, including her pups, whom she kept
close to her heart. Whenever she could, Louise loved to get outside to enjoy the great outdoors. She would speak often of her favourite moments, spending time with Wayne at their cabin in Downey, BC, fishing, mushroom picking, and picnicking.
Louise will be laid to rest beside her departed husband Vince, at Eden Brook
Memorial Gardens, and we know her spirit will forever flourish at Downey Lake.
The family wishes to welcome those who would like to celebrate Louise’s life to
an open house on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 1:30pm-4:30pm, at the family home, for a time of fellowship and memories.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Louise's memory at a
charity of their choice. The family would like to thank the Palliative care nurses for their care and compassion during our most difficult moments.
