<div itemprop="description">Halldorson, Jacob (Jake) Thomas Konrad <br>July 3, 1945 – March 23, 2015 <br> <br>Jake Halldorson passed away at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary, AB on Monday, March 23, 2015 at the age of 69 years. <br> <br>Jake will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Frances; children, Jeffery (Steph), Brent (Chantal), Wayne (Rachel); grandchildren, Alexandra, Anastasia, Katrina, Sophia, Sarah, Erik, Claire, William and Hosanna; siblings, Norman Halldorson and Noreen Markusson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Murray Rousay. Jake was born on July 3, 1945 in Wynyard, Saskatchewan. He graduated from Foam Lake High School and then attended the University of Saskatchewan where he received his engineering degree in 1967. Jake worked for Associated Engineering in Regina and was transferred to Edmonton. In 1972 he started Colt Engineering with one partner. Colt grew into a tremendous success and became a globally recognized engineering firm (now part of Worley Parsons). Jake retired at age 55 from Colt, then worked as CEO for Aqua-Pure Ventures Inc. in Calgary and their subsidiary, Fountain Quail Water Management in Texas. Jake’s passions included spending time with his family, attending and serving in various positions at Mountain View Lutheran Church and on the District Mission Board of his Church body, the outdoors and especially golfing, fishing, hunting and gardening. <br> <br>For those wishing to pay their respects to Jake, a visitation will be held at Mountain View Lutheran Church, 244191 Range Rd 31, Calgary‎, AB on Friday, March 27 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. <br> <br>A Christian Funeral Service will be held at EDEN BROOK FUNERAL HOME, 24223 Township Road 242 (17 Avenue South West and Lower Springbank Road) on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Schultz officiating, interment to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. <br> <br>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hallmark Educational Foundation c/o Mountain View Lutheran Church, 244191 Range Rd 31, Calgary‎, AB‎ T3Z 3L8. Jake established this Foundation to support Christian education. Please make cheques payable to Mountain View Lutheran Church and designate the memo for the Hallmark Educational Foundation. <br> <br>“Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:3–4)</div>
