She left this world peacefully with her daughter holding her and the family by her side. She will be dearly missed by her devoted daughter Darlene (Domenico Paduano); grandchildren: Dorian (Randy), Kevin (Olga), Debbie (Dean), Kathy (Kelly); great grandchildren: Tiffany (Travis), Mattison, Michelle, Ellena, Nikolas and Ava; great-great grandchildren: Tanner, Isabella, and Jonathan. Jean was predeceased by her mother Wanda; father, Clements; brother, Lesek, and sister, Nina. Genowefa Rutkowska (Jean) was born in Wilno, Poland. October 1947 Jean immigrated from Germany to Brandon, Manitoba. There she met and married her Michael, the love of her life. In 1952 their daughter was born. Jean and Mike enjoyed sixty - four years together. After medical issues complicated their lives they relocated to Calgary, Alberta to be closer to their family. Prayers will take place in the Chapel of Eden Brook Funeral Home on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place at Eden Brook Funeral Home on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial Services to be held in Brandon at a later date. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at Sarcee Hospice for the kind and compassionate care given to Jean. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (119 14 St NW #100, Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6).</div>
