<div itemprop="description">Iati- Anthony Joseph (Tony) <br>July 23, 1922 -August 19, 2016 <br> <br>It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Anthony Joseph Iati announce his passing on Friday, August 19, 2016. His health had declined over the last few months and he died peacefully at his home in Bragg Creek, Alberta with his family by his side. <br>Tony was a loving and devoted husband to Lorraine (Lorrie) Iati and was predeceased by his wife in 2013. A doting father to Kimberley Iati, Tina Patton; his son in law John Patton and an adoring grandfather to Nicholas, Matthew and Joseph Patton. Tony loved and cherished his grandchildren, family and friends. He will also be dearly missed by his brother George Iati; sister Mary Hanko, his many nieces and nephews. As well as his relatives in North Bay, Ontario- Natino and Domenica Iati, Giannii Iati, Clara and Paulo Iati, his Goddaughter from Toronto Lynda Arrigo and her daughter Annie. <br>Tony was predeceased by his parents Brigette and Paulo Iati; his brothers Peter Iati and Revered Father Joseph Iati. <br>Tony was originally from North Bay, Ontario and lived most of his life in Toronto, Ontario. He moved to Bragg Creek Alberta twenty years ago to be near his daughter Tina and grandchildren and this is where he spent his remaining years. His life was enriched when moving to Bragg Creek and had many cherished friendships. Tony was a World War II Veteran and long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was a recipient of the Queen Jubilee medal. Tony was dedicated to the Veterans and was part of the Bragg Creek Remembrance Day service for many years. He was instrumental in the erection of the Cenotaph in Bragg Creek. <br>We would like to thank Dr. Cunning and staff and Homecare for their unwavering care of our father and Dr. Stan Mayer for his support. We would also like to thank our Tony’s dear friends that were constantly by his side nearing the end of his life. We are very grateful and feel solace in knowing that our father Tony has been re-united with his beloved wife Lorrie. <br>“In memory of a life so beautifully lived and a heart so deeply loved” <br> <br>Tony’s Memorial Service will be held on Sunday September 18th at 1:00 pm at the Bragg Creek Community Centre- 23 White Avenue, 403 949-4277.
